Finally, India have managed to register a comprehensive victory over England in the 5 match ODI series in home soil. There are clearly few learning lessons from this victory.

1. Indians are comfortable in the home soil than foreign pitches. Acid test starts in the Aussie series.

2. Youngsters should be given chance. Bhajji should be put to rest and young Jadeja and Rahane should be opened to spots in the line-up

3. A calm and composed Indian Team looked wild when they were out to field. Having known that they had enough runs on the board, they dint take things easily. Aggression shows way forward.

4. Dhoni, should play higher up the order. He has been so good at piling up an innings which is worth the run.

5. India should give more priority to the bowling dept as they did last evening and should train more and more youngsters to take up roles and deliver.

6. When India toured England, there was huge debate on Zaheer Khan's role in the Indian team as a pace spearhead. While this topic can hang on for sometime, one should also see India as a team when they open out their voices.

Hope the win run continues.

Mankatha -- Movie Review

A positive comeback by Ajith is what strikes me when I begin to jot. I would say that the movie was above average but below excellent because few elements in the movie like humour, technology were all were below normal. Probably Venkat Prabhu stayed away from messing up things as it was Thala's 50.

The over-consicousness of the fact that it was Ajith's 50th film probably closed the film's horizon. Otherwise it was a good attempt to showcase corruption in law and order as well. I would say that the film was well designed in terms of screenplay. Definitely VP has reached the next level as a director. He has crafted each and every frame of the movie keeping in view of the elements which would creep doubts in minds of audience. Post Mankatha men would love to sport the salt and pepper look.

Ajith's villany and Arjun's gameplan went off well in the end. Trisha, Lakshmi Rai, Andrea and Anjali were very patchy and unneccessary. Songs were so gloomy with the screenplay. Even "Machi Open the Bottle" missed timing.

Verdict: Ajith has hit a high with his 50. Worth the money.

Child's Play

At III Std, I would not have aspired to be Sachin Tendulakar. At IV Std we would not have aspired to amaze audience. All we had was fun, fun and fun only.. Ours was a Chennai 28 kind of a unit with a little more excitement and childlike attitude.

The team comprised...

1. David George, a right arm fast bowler, inspired by Allan Donald and Heath Streak with his fair and lovely cream applied on his nose.
2. S S Naren, the right hand batsman, quite seemingly plays like Rahul Dravid and likes to play cricket in a more stylish way.
3. Sriram, like our typical Indian seamers who bowls good one day and chucks when it is needed of him but will pick some wickets which will leave us stranded. His bowling figures are either 3 wickets for 10 runs in 3 overs or o wickets for 30 runs in 2 overs.
4. Praveen, the agressive Lara fan, will target every ball that is bowled to him outside the park. Most often his swing at bat results in either a dot ball or a six.
5. Finally, Satish (me) a rigourous Sachin fan like one for a gang, plays with such passion and tries to mock my pals with the usual "Hey, I was not ready at all man - after being bowled by a superb delivery".

We anxiously wait for entry of summer for us to gear up for the tournament. Never in a day we rested more than we played.. At that age, with so much passion in heart if one couldnt reach his dream for a variety of reasons, it remains as a nostalgic cricketing era of childhood.
After a long time, I needed this break from David George who put his childhood pics on FB that helped me travel back to our tournament times. Those moments just flashed back me like a rewind episode in a movie. Aint you believe it when I say that we have curated the pitch one day, by making it soft and pouring lots of water the day before... Nothing made the difference to the pitch, but it certainly made one in our hearts. We almost felt as though we were in India's dressing room..

Getting into a sync

It is quite a while that I have been away from blogging for a variety of reasons. Now that I wish to revive my blogging passion I thought I should make it a go on my dream to becoming a CA. I will promise you not to bore with the usual jargons that a dream story embeds with it.

I was put to a lot of tests at the beginning of my career. I somehow dint take the pressure onto me. When I started off the entrance, I was warned that doing the coaching in the Institute would put off your chances of passing the exam. On that way, it was like pass or fail scenario. But over a period of time, I have learnt to be balanced and less excited about the future.

What was like a dream at the backyard of my mind was silenced completely and I am before you not as a completely satisfied person but rather learning to be satisfied. I was rather over ambitious that I got into some firm where I actually did something out of the blue. The point here is that life takes you to different priorities which can be heartening to balance.

Now that I have set a tone to my professional travel, I can possibly take flight to reach my dream destination called Chartered Accountant. Wow! It makes me feel good to be called CA. S Satish.

This might be out of focus at this very moment, but the right time to chip in since talks though not noisy are constantly hitting the desk of Govt. Fuel hike is one of the important indicator of inflation if I could use that term aptly. Price of fuel if I remember was around Rs.47 6 months back. Now it has just rocketed madly to Rs.60.

When I used to fill petrol I just notice the quantity that falls in the screen which was around 10.28 litres for Rs.500. Now it is 2 litres short which is approx 28kms loss on one trip. Now I would like to bring here two issues into focus. 1. The Bharath Bandh that followed rise in price of fuel as well as essential commodities; 2. Strikes and lockouts.

Bharath Bandh
The cause for the Bandh is good but the Bandh as I heard from sources cost the Govt. 10,000cr. Now this money is also to be compensated which adds to the problem. I totally understand the current situation and support the cause. I am not taking this from a political angle, rather from a aam-admi's perceptive. I can see things getting costlier which once were stocked for no need. Now time has proved so. I dont stand for any of the parties since each one of them have different views of seeing a problem. I would like to raise voice on asking whether Bandh is the only situation.

Strikes and lockouts
Most of the corporates and others whose employee union command a tough tag over the company generally resort to strikes, lock-outs, phase-outs to redeem their requests. But requests cant override the policies of the company which is generally no loss of labour due to strike, temporary separation etc. Many companies went on to face a severe problem when the union went on frequent protests. Normally all the big players like Reliance, Tatas, Aditya group try to passify their strength on relationships with the employees. But they dont compromise on their policies or any other intangible matters. Thats the nomenclature and a sign for effective management. In a way our Govt. too should atleast try to pull out the velocity of the opposition parties from opening their voices at the Parliament frequently without sacrificing their core policies.

This can sit in your minds heavily but we have literally no control over it. Only a consensus of mind can resolve this issue which is not happening these days.

MS Dhoni - Still to Captain?

Yeah thats the talk that has caught the media's attention. There is too much on Mahi the Captain Cool.
I have drawn a few observations from the recent T20 debacle. '

First, MSD can be blamed for everything. Of course he could have carried guns on the field to sack Oz bowlers but failed to deliver. Nevertheless not to curse.

Second, the players in Total should be matured to put Team INDIA before their franchises save players like Suresh Raina, Ashish Nehra, Praveen Kumar. The other players especially Bhajji and Zaheer plays like real professionals when they do for Mumbai Indians. But when it comes to INDIAN team they are taking their postions for granted.

Third, the BCCI should also be a little sensible to put IPL after the World level games which ultimately matters when it comes to the Nation because I personally feel that the IPL shatters the players' rapport.

Fourth, INDIAN TEAM itself looked like they were playing as Individuals and not as a team. Atleast to me it looked like they were not in good bonding.

Lastly, the selection could have been a little lenient towards the newcomers. I was personally sad for not picking Amit Mishra, Robin Uthappa, Ashok Dinda, Pragyan and Naman Ohja instead of Yusuf, Rohit, Zaheer, Harbhajan, Murali Vijay.

But my strong opinion is that sacking MSD as captain could put TEAM INDIA into pieces. Will pay the price forever. He has been the best captain for INDIA and will continue to be and keep taking INDIA to the world's best team.

MY MESSAGE TO OTHER PLAYERS: Please take a look at the Pakistanis or the Proteas. They are playing like real dangerous sides. I would atleast wish you fight a tough battle and still lose it doesn't matter. But this T20 campaign was not upto the kind of effort you all put. But as a fan I am still with the team and I'm sure that they will be the champions in the time ahead.

Beliefs at 5pm

At 5pm on Jan 3rd I believed that I would get inspired by a speech. At that hour I believed things would change in my life. Beliefs they either make you or break you was the topic that Mr. T T Rajan was about to talk. This was my 2nd attendance at the Alma Mater program.

RULE1: A belief held at the beginning of the journey defines the journey. What you believe you can do you will end up doing that. What you believe you can’t do end up doing nothing. For it is only the mind that makes the man himself.

RULE 2: Mind is called the factory of a man. It churns out different thoughts and ideas. What you think ultimately is what you become because the mind instructs your thoughts, actions, behavior, thereby your character. Your character strongly decides the position that you will hold in the society.

A beautiful story goes:

A guy was talking to his friend. He said that he was so happy though his father passed away few days before. His friend was unusual and asked why? He replied saying “About 1500 of them attended my father’s funeral. He is not a popular artist or character but he has done so many good things that the entire village came to pay their last respects”. I was so moved by the story. Simple but very strong to have a strong character.

RULE 3: We have say to ourselves that our failures are no more. It is time for us to leave behind the failures and start to the winning ways.

A beautiful story goes:

I had a distant friend or relative whatever of mine who is now working in IBM technologies. He failed his CA course 8 attempts i.e. nearly 4 years and ended up successful the ninth attempt only on the border line. He said to himself that enough of failures and went out to a great company holding one of the prestigious posts. The takeaway here is not that failures must be more. The mind must be tuned to avoid failures and work towards success.

RULE 4: Your past need not be the same as your future. Suppose you had been the School Topper in 12th Exams it is not necessary you will do the same in your university and the vice versa. You must day to yourself that my past has been bad and not my future. I would be one of the most ethical people leading a luxurious life. Only attitude and words always repeated becomes action. Your action defines your goal.

I really loved being at his session and wish could continue attending the journey of my belief.

Twenty Ten Starts off

I wished that I should share this story with you. I got this in my mail and felt each one should browse for what it is worth. I have managed to edit to a smaller version capturing only the finer details.

A young man was about to graduate. He was in love with a beautiful sports car. He let his father know that he wanted it.

On the graduation day, he was anxious of surprises from his father. To his instinct his father called him and handed a box. Curiously he unwrapped it and was disappointed to see a new Bible. He shouted angrily and stormed out of house leaving the Bible.

Years passed by and he rolled out to a successful businessman. He realized that he should see his father as he was old.
By the time he made all the arrangements he came to know that his father passed away leaving all the possessions. He rushed to his house and found the still new Bible. As he turned the pages a car key with the envelope taped behind the Bible fell with the words “PAID IN FULL” dated that graduation day.

Moral: How many times do we miss God's blessings because they are not packaged as we expected?

Ahead of a New Year

It is almost upto 365 days of 2009. When I look back, I feel I am lost somewhere away from track. It is a culture almost common to everyone to take up a resolution on Jan 1 and forget it on Jan 2nd. Most of them. But I would not dare generalise. I would rather give credit to the ones who take it up seriously and follow close to 100% perfection.

With X-Mas tomorrow and a 2010 in few more days I would wish to share with you a piece of thought that I normally share with my friends and others.
Everyone takes a resolution. Good to have a change. Agreed. But the moment you break the resolution, you fall in your eye short of the target. To make it more clear, you are not able to promise what you have said to yourself. That is quite bad.
When you are not able to fulfill a promise for someone you come up with a variety of reasons for not doing so. But what reason can you come up with on yourself. You know why? Thats self-assessment.

Now that you have a resolution on hand, try not to say it again and again. When you do so you create a pressure on yourself. One said Resolutions are meant to be breaken. But I strongly believe that they are the ones who mould us into better beings.

Suppose you resolute not to get up late in the mornings, you must bio-tune your body to get up early. That doesnt mean you dont sleep all through the night. Only strong and clear mind-set can change the attitude.

Yavarum Nalam - Hasty Thriller

Movie: Yavarum Nalam a k a 13B
Cast: Madhavan, Neetu Chandra, Saranya
Genre: Thriller

My Take: Thriller movies are always shot in dark and the lightings are always gloomy to shade out the aspect of amolition and evil. I think the real challenge is to shoot it in daylight with all the lightings and give a shot that potrays fear factor. To that factor 13B is quite a different attempt but not a real success. The movie to me was quite good but lacked clarity. Meaning the way the movie is set out gives me a feeling that the movie was shot in a hurried manner. Atlast I felt that there is something that was missing. But due credit to the Director and also the other technicians. Elements of humor at some places was quite good to the usual evil sounds and atmosphere. Overall I would still want some other Director to step in and give light to the aspect of a fear factor in a Thriller Film in a more intense way.

Finally: Good but could have been better.

NATO - No Talk, Action Only

To All My Fellow Citizens,

I am really unhappy being a part of helpless Indians where we are most often mute spectators and just go by what happens next (being reactive and not proactive).

It is one year since the 26/11 terror strike and still justice is on its way. Neither our country doesn’t enforce a strong action nor has the Pak govt. come up with a strong reaction. They rather stick on to their only recourse of asking India to prove the circumstances.

One lone terrorist is on his acceptance and pleads guilty and what more do you want from India. This is not a political statement instead a mind-steering one. I have got nothing to do with the governments of both the countries. I am just putting across that it takes such a lot of time to punish the criminals and all the innocents are severed the gun-strikes instantly. I don’t think the way of death can function like this.

Yesterday late night I received a message from my friend stating to remember the one year anniversary of the dead soldiers and others on 26/11 last year. I was really shocked and replied saying “It was not a festival or an event to come up with every year. We are so helpless that we mourn for 2-3 minutes and the terrorist hits our sad silence too. Instead forward to all asking to be cautious and united like our brave soldiers to fight out the coward terrorists”. It is no one’s mistake to remember the lost lives. But how long can we worship this custom. Such stray incident shouldn’t have happened had our security been tight and alert. Such incident shouldn’t have repeated had we punished the terrorists instantly.

I am still under this dense cloud of confusion as to what is the process of justice. I mean lives can be played with.

One Day CEO

Only one day. It was just that day! Without further I would wish to narrate you an incident from true life that I went through this October.

Usually I am a sleepy chap who almost always sleep my time. But things went around when I took Chartered Accountancy (CA). I used to sleep for only 4 hours a day balancing my study and work. Thats how the structure is. But I was notified that CEO's and CFO's need to almost keep themselves awake for 23.5 hours.

But me without being a CEO almost din't sleep for even a hour during a day. That was when I travelled by road to Kumbakonam. We hired a cab and took to Kumbakonam at 10pm. The driver asked me to be awake till 4:30 in the morning or else get to back seat. I thought I could just give a try.

I sat in the front seat beside him. You BELIEVE me or not I was awake till the next day without even twinkling my eye for a second. OOPHS! That was amazing and still an UNBELIEVABLE pursuit.

MORAL: No big and exhaustive moral. The moral is just about the mindset. A MIND can process things that are considered UNACHIEVABLE. If I can DO. You CAN DO as well.

Tribute to Young Sincere Revolutionist (YSR)

YS Rajasekhara Reddy (YSR), late Andhra Pradesh CM has lost his life along with 4 other important gentlemen in a chopper crash. Reports say that the chopper got imbalance or went out of control to manage the situation.

There have been instances in history well proved that air crashes were due to same reasons citing climate. We dont know. After all we are just the mute public who takes in what the media says. It was because of the demise of a nice being YSR aged 60 that has brought AP or rather India to a look back. People of AP has looked up to this issue very seriously. I'm in total acceptance and mourn the demise as well. But my point here is there have been crashes earlier too of some important but not that hot personalities (e.g. Army, Navy) who have lost their life. I'm not against YSR. But India has been losing few important and sacrificed gentlemen who have come in silent and left out mute.

I found a media statement saying VIPs want the Pilot to drive the Helicop according to their wish and will barring the conditions. Anyways loss is a loss and I salute the person for the services rendered to the state and country.

There are instances where people are just led by their emotions and the opinion of strangers. They are much bothered about the comments that other people pose on them. Actually I pity those people who are a victim of those strangers.

Life offers you two choices. 1. You do it 2. You leave it
One said that "Try hard and do what you like, or else you will be forced to like what you do".

SO TO SUM UP
1. Dont get affected by Failures and even Success for that matter.
2. Try hard and achieve what you want to become
3. Dont ignore anybody coz they may be a pillar to you at any point in time
4. Success is a reward to sincerity
5. Look at Failures and Success in the same eye and heart
6. Failures are Success Delayed and Not Denied
7. Look at people who have achieved. They have come out after a long battle of struggle
8. History has recognized those who have fought with themselves, their personality, their efforts

Tan Te Ten - Song RECHRISTENED

Kaminey (Mean Fellow) is the latest Hindi movie (Starring Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra) making much news and talks mused because of the song Tan Te Tan .... cinematographed in a pub. The same song was a documentary composed by Vishal Bharadwaj with the same tunes and lyrics with a lesser tempo and percussions. The fact here is that the old documentary was a proven failure and was not welcoming tune.
Now, the song is hitting the Chartbusters and has turned almost everyone crazy listing all the Ipods and Mp3s. I mean I dont know why people hated the song 10 years back. The dance steps and picturization was not too bad. My take could be that it was into a documentary and not a cinema. Or else it could be Shahid's factor that took to the hype. Watever be it! Tan Te Ten is good and was good.
Moral: Sometimes you don't know what wins and what does not.

Let me make you understand that they were done in the past by the Gods and Angels of the world. Okay! Moving closer to Success Stories I would wish to impact you few examples to motivate your soul.

1. Bill Gates: This Microsoft owner Gentlemen was dropped out of Harvard College. After the hard phased life he has got to the stand of the Multi millionaire with almost every desk working under his intellect.
2. Roger Bannister: He is an athelete who finished a mile within 4 minutes. A doctor said "A mile in 4 minutes could kill a man". He did the impossibe in 3.59 minutes.
3. M K Gandhi: Our Bapu raised out the need of India's freedom without raising his voice. One must take a look at the film "Gandhi" acted by Ben Kingsley.
4. Abdul Kalam: Our former President Mr. A P J Kalam was distributing Tamil newspaper on the streets of Rameshwaram for a maeagre income. His lesson shows that Success is not into the head and difficulties are not into his heart.
5. Late Dhirubhai Ambani: Dhiru saab was a LPG attendant before business. His father had no money accumulated for him to start his establishment. Lesson here is that "Anyone can become a Millionaire by his hard and smart work provided sincere.

Always in life there are two ends. One is Success and the other is failure to succeed. Failure to succeed can be due to variety of reasons. But the fact to be understood here is that
Success into head and Failure into heart doesnt make a good soul. Hence for say strive to Succeed and enjoy the fruits of Success.

What is investment?
There can’t be a worded answer to this very simple question. It simply means utilizing the present resources and diversifying wealth for future; can be one answer yet it has its infinite meanings through its versatile application in the real practices.
1. The term investment has accrued its cream in this rapid changing world despite the global turnaround. It is the term investment that adds aroma to the active investing herd who total to around 6.5 billion.

Jab We Met - Movie Review

Long time no see. Meaning the film I held and the time I took to watch thru. Quite decent direction by Mr. Imthiaz Ali. Shahid and Kareena the dust lovers of the past were good pair on screen and shared an emotional bonding that was quite evident in the film. The film is all about How you take life on to you rather than chasing it. Be yourself and beahve yourself is one thought that is brought about in almost all scenes. Brushing logic to the corners the movie scored good bar on entertainment and romance. The one part that I was bored with the movie was the songs. Somehow I felt that the songs were not a perfect rhythm to suit the situation. Apart from that there is no thrill or excitement when you watch thru the movie. This movie is almost under post production remade in Tamil as Kanden Kadhalai with Barath and Tammanah starrring opposite.

Verdict: Dont look back the 2.3 hours of entertainment, you may dislike.

Dear Visitor,

I am happy to blog out for 2 reasons, 1. the fact that I have been a part of a wonderful, simple, interesting analysis of Chartered Accountancy Final Exam this June 09; 2. Being my 50th post. Yet another milestone.

For someone associated with Chartered Accountancy, this could be very interesting. Even for someone who could read through it will find it chill to browse. CA exams are considered to be one of the challenging professional exams. CA often is critisized as Come Again. This season is witnessing the frenzy cricket fans all over India. The IPL push talk has geared the cricket stands to a robust crowd with lots of hype and hoopla. This has become the preferred topic for the public at large. This made us take a gaze at few topics of IPL. We then decided to have a public opinion and went on to a questionnaire and send it to around 40 people. Their responses were as follows:

1. Most of them felt that the IPL will certainly turn out to be a good entertainer than ODI’s and test matches.
2. Our respondents felt that the Indians will strive for victory with the same patriotism after the end of IPL season.
3. Most of them felt that the cheerleaders were a disgrace to the stands.
4. And certainly the crowd for cricket is always the same but with more expectations.
5. And why is IPL hot? We got – The panorama of cricketing rivals playing together.

Last but not the least – IPL has proved a good medium (with certain exceptions) for the feeling oneness among nations. Cricket is a heart throb game for all. Hows that yaar!

1. Dont Open harsh words: Always in a conversation people tend to use harsh or abuse language just to compete the opposite person. One doesn't understand that there is always a factor called self-respect in each person similar to that of you. This might be easy to control but the our friend tongue doesn't help.

2. Don't go by what the wrong says: When you very well know that this kind of action can lead to big problems please dont do that. Often we do things that we very well know that it is not correct. For example you talk over an argument you tend to raise the voice unneccesarily knowing that the problem might aggrevate. You know you open shivering when you fight in an argument.

3. Giving up here is winning: Generally you must not give up in what ever you do. But to fight the evil out of you when you are in an argument you do a world of good by giving up to the other person. I focus on arguments because it is like converyance that the world does 80% of their time. Dont take me wrong. I do argue but that proved me that I was a duffer.

4. No complexes please! Superiority complex and inferiority complex are two things that ruins relationships to the core. Take 100 cases you will see either ego, complex or misunderstanding taking seats. You lose something holding your breadth rather give up here to sustain a good rapport. Some might want to counter this issue. But take my words when you find the relationship is worth holding on to by giving up your complexes you can do good by revamping the lost bonding.

5. First Listen to be Listened: Being patient can lead you to many positive results. At this instance I would wish to narrate you a drama from real life.
There was a couple who live life simple and peaceful. The wife was seen talking to a guy by the husband on a theatre front. Immediately the husband broke out to anger and filed for divorce papers and registered the case with a lawyer. On the wife returning to the house she walked in and hugged the husband and said "Darling today I saw your brother with another girl in the theatre front and was warning him". Husband was shocked to listen that and immediately hugged her and said, "Sorry honey, It was my mistake". The wife was confused and shocked to the see the legal papers on the table. Hence listen to others to be listened.

Hi5 Steps to control evil and promote wisdom.
Backdrop
You pour a drop of water into the ocean and you can’t say or spot which drop that you poured into. Similarly you can’t identify which character of yours might irritate others or satiate others. Suppose you may let open something on a funny note that may end the other way round. You can’t help it. Suppose you stay much focused on your work and do not even spill a word out people mark you a zombie character. At all this drama you sometimes feel that it is getting on to your nerves. Ok. Trust me. I have come out with a formula that can possibly ease your mind off the tension of getting angry.
As I have mentioned earlier in my blog somewhere that there are persons in this world who want to strip your temperature high. Those people are simply bugs who enjoy the pain that you undergo.
I haven’t seen or experienced more in this world to come out with an answer. Rather I have observed that wherever the problem is it ends only in the same way. Guessed? With no solution. You fight out heavily advocating your point but there would be someone who could stand to the wrong deal.
I will narrate you an incident that happened to me. I am a car mania who wishes to speak and share information with my pals. I did the same way with one of them. We had a discussion as to the Accord car from Honda. I said it could be the best model from Honda. He immediately said “Machan (colloquial way to call a dear friend) Accord is from Hyundai and not from Honda”. I was shocked to have realized to have spoken to someone who was ignorant of which company that car was manufactured. Of course I don’t say that it was a blunder. People don’t realize that they are speaking something wrong unless proved to them heavily. I was very calm doing the same thing saying “Heh the car is from Honda and not Hyundai”. The trouble started here. Another guy who doesn’t even know how many wheels a car has came and broke out in the middle saying “Yep. Accord is from Hyundai and not from Honda”.
This raised my BP. After all the incident was over I realized that there was no conclusion. We dint arrive at a point. So what’s the point in fighting? It is very difficult for you to control your emotions when you are in an argument. That is because of the red star called EVIL in you. You have the power to control it but most often it doesn’t happen.

Mafia - My Dream Story

As always I am good at spinning tales. Nope. You got me wrong. Its story making. I started it at my XI Standard with my dear duo Madhan. He is yet another movie buff who watches for ideas on variuos lingos. I have nearly 5 stories of full length say 2 hours or so with me. But the most fantabulous story that everyone wished to visualise on screen was Mafia.
It is a triple role movie. Not the stereotype multi-starrer movie. This is something different from what one perceives. For a change the intelligent survives rather the honest. I guess you can sense what I'm shooting about. Since my age was around 16 or so that time, I dint want to take it very seriously or perhaps not now too.

My play is forecasted with 3 prominent roles. 1. A Cop from India 2. A Cop from America 3. The rougue. All the three are some what from the same breed meaning from the same gene or cluster. How is that one doesnt look like the other is a matter to test our costumes and outfits. If someone had scene the movie "Behind Enemy Line" by John Moore it would be much easier for them to visualize. My play opens out with a blast in NY performed by the most wanted mafia gang. Traces show that network operations are designed in India. That finds a cop handling the case for a full through. A detective Mr. Sherlock Holmes will be the most reminded person when one sees it in the big screen.
I would want to portray how the world works around. Not the honest and educated survives rather the clever and thoughtful. I am not keen at giving a Terminator kinda action but justify that people accept something that is easy for them to perceive. But my message is very simple.
Lets say you do some engineering courses say ECE, EEE, IT, Mechanical. Suppose you stop your study with that saying you are an engineer, I doubt that you are wrong. The point I drive home here is not what you want to study rather how well you manage things that inturn handles competition. The CEOs of big companies sleep 4 hours a day only. They work the rest 20.
Likewise my story will throw out a very strong message that if you want to survive this competition be A1 in whatever you want to be. Either you are the best or the worst and not a mediocre.
And my story will certainly not be a dream because I have got the chance to blog you out what Mafia is all about.

Trust me I have kept 90% of the interesting part of the story hidden from you.

You must obviously have heard this Gentlemen's name in the Business Line or any journal.
Of course the Infosys big shot doesn't care an introduction but is making news with his recent proposal. The proposal is to Nationalise the system of identity. The mega project is put by the Indian Government ahead of the much talked Metros. It is believed that the project would cost around 600 crores. Wah! That is quite huge.

The idea behind the inception of this plan is to keep track of what transactions take place. Suppose who get to a merchant and buy some thing there, you are noticed. Rather the transaction is accounted only when you produce this ID. It is material that it takes place only through this chip supported Plastic Swipe that is on the roll. That is modern. Much much safe and secure.

It lists where you stay, what you do, whether you are a citizen of India by birth, other significant details that are normally required for verification like your Pan card, vehicle license etc.
You can there by track persons who are unauthorised in India, meaning who have just come out to a role to demoralise and destabilise India's stature. Mark my words, this project would much soothe the country in handling large volumes of transactions with ease.

Angel: This is the Packaging and Delivery the second section. Here, the graces and blessings the peopleasked for are processed and delivered to the living persons who asked for them.

(Man noticed again how busy it was there. There were many angels working hard at that station,since so many blessings had been requested and were being packaged for delivery to Earth)

My titles and captions are somewhat poetic. Thats how I wish someone to perceive when he/she visits here. Alrite! I will directly hit the nail on the bar.
All things on this earth center around materialistic pleasures and sexual desires. Thats natural. But you need something else to keep you going. Thats relationship. Mom, dad, grandparents, sister, brother, friend, fiance, lover; whoever be it, you need to vibe along. For that you need to avoid
One is that, try avoiding a conflict bcoz what appears to be a big thing will sound foolish after sometime. Let me narrate you an incident. My cousin and I had a general talk on BCom teaching in Vivekananda college in Mylapore where he studies. I said him that morning college is better than the evening bcoz students who opt that typo would have secured an admission via merit. Quite Logical. As usual he was a strict evening college campaigner and stood to his own trumpet tales. I like a goose started to counter his words which ended bleak.
Right after that incident I got a god sent forward from my friend which read as
"Most of them carry garbage and they try to shed it on you, beware you dont invite". I dont mean that my cousin is a duffer. He is really sweet. But the point I make here is that a tug of words would have been avoided had I been mum. I then realised not to open my mouth without a warrant and to sincerly avoid conflicts with even the worst ever people. Pardon my language.
Way to overcome
1. Listening to songs of your tastes when your mood swings and you are tensed. Believe me it has relaxed all my nerves to normal.
2. Speak to yourself. Your misakes, positives, potential etc to get you diverted. Or better move away from that place.

Hai Folks
I recently was so jobless that I did a survey myself at those times. Chance for me to travel to and fro across the city of Chennai like a madman finding the exam centre, going behind my lost ID card, working out to trainings. I am basically a car buff. Something that would interest me or attract my attention would be a topic on car. So on road I decided to count by far as much as possible to identify the most flooded car in the "small cars" market.
I found the following (let us take a count on 100)
1. I found that on an average every 5th car was a Hyundai Santro
2. and every 6th car was a Maruthi Swift
3. 10th car was the Hyundai i10.
4. Every 1st car in Tata Indica was a travel vehicle.
5. On an average, every 3 out of five i10 cars were painted Oyster Grey

So this revealed to me that the small cars market is almost conquered by Hyundai followed by Maruthi and Tatas.

A Wednesday - Movie Review

Indeed after my tiring Bcom exam I got the CD of an yesteryear Bollywood flick called 'A Wednesday' that is on the remake pipeline in Tamil as Unnaipol Oruvan. Bollywood saw the screen with Nasrudeen Shah the stupid common man character and Commissioner as Anupam Kher. The movie also needed the presence of certain small characters. The movie is all about the guts and glory of a common man to kill the terrorists of his country in a plotted way as terrorists normally do. You almost jump out of your cushions on the half way. Unexpected twists and racy screenplay has made the movie a reality. To be very frank I am not sure of how the movie can be churned out in Tamil but it din't give me a movie feel when the film got to an end. If you are an Indian and has not seen this movie, catch hold of this movie's CD and make it a go. I'm sure you would wish to do something for the country or yourself after this.

Verdict: Must Watch. No compromise

I have started a new practise of picking a person every week who has been the talk of that week. He can be from any country and from any field.
MJ is the Star
Michael Jackson the rock star of Pop albums of America is no more. About a week before he died because of cardiac disorders leading to a fatal stage at which recovery was beyond the ability of the doctors. But there is a scam that he was murdered. Reports show that his intimates were already aware of the fact. I couldnt really feel or imagine a great star like MJ no more in this world. People are really crazy about him everywhere esp in US and India as well. Heard that one committed suicide after the shocking news. Thats very ridiculous to me.
But I really was very astonished of the tid that he has done over 18 plastic surgeries on his face. And I truly believe that he was the one person on this earth whom everyone can recognize at the name MJ. That is truly inspiring.

I got a chance way back on 28th December 2008 to attend Alma Matter Rajan's counsel on Dinacharya - meaning the daily exercise. I took some undoubtedly significant issues from that hall
1. Never be late on committments.
2. If you give a promise, obey whatever be it.
I was really unexcited as I had to travel a long way to attend this program without even knowing what sort of issue would be discussed there. Guessed it would be philosophical but not too much was it. Believe me. When I say it is good it means it was tres good. I saw realism in his speech.
Dinacharya - Means Daily Practice. What one does daily is different from what Dinacharya explains. What one can do daily to mould him a better being is what it is all about. But after the 2 hours or so I really felt the change. Though it dint last long.

Simple but Interesting
1. It is said that when we follow a regular system on a 24 hour it is proven that we become a scale healthier than before.
2. A 15 minute exercise daily will leave us fit till 90. Believe me 90 is possible.

I took sometime to let open my Curriculum Vitae (CV), though not so impressive but the construction is in progress.

Schooling: Did my schooling in TI Matriculation higher secondary school at Ambattur. All through 14 years in the same school. Was Class XI topper with 91% representing the Commerce group. Was Commerce Group Topper with 94% in Class XII.

CA Foundation: I went through a hard phased period of 4 months attending the Tally classes as well as going to the CPT Classes. Secured 138 oout of 200 effectively 69%.

Graduation: I am doing my B.Com Degree in Madras University (IDE) in Chepauk, Chennai. I have finished my first year with an aggregate of 62%.

Internship: Doing my Internship under the famous teacher-writer-speaker V Pattabhi Ram co-founder of Yoganandh and Ram Chartered Accountants headquartered at Velachery.

Others: I am good at football, cricket to a little extent and TT. Apart from the small crendetials, I take interest in charity, blogging, cars, and research works. I did one on IPL.

Motivation is a motor for stimulation of success. I for one very strongly believe that motivation is one thing that can bring about dramatic changes in an individual. Be it studies or sports or any field for that matter. You can get motivated by any means. It can happen within a fraction of second. That process is called "Enlightenment". No no dont go awry. It means that one has got to a regime where he is feeling confident of himself regardless to all the hindrances under his belt. I would like to narrate you an incident that happened to me.
I went to ABN-AMRO Bank, the one at Chetpet to accompany my friend. That campus was only to the bank employees as far as I know. I was deeply impressed and motivated to work in such a good atmosphere and sector. As I said, the enlightenment process went through me. From that day I decided to give my best in everything so that I could work there or rather make people work under me in that kinda atmosphere-sector. The point I am driving home is how can one set targets beyond his reach. Targets beyond reach is not correct because nothing is impossible in this planet.
But you must not wait for the process to get into you rather set the aim and work towards it so that you can have someone motivated.

Dummy Dummy Dummy

Heh folks
I have been doing my CA internship with a mindset of being inferior to the work of others doing practical audits. But I took time to understand that both the work are nevertheless inferior to each other. What makes me take a nod is that when students dont really take to internship and place themself a dummy. A dummy is a student who registers himself under an auditor but does not work under him to complete the required hours per week. It makes me feel that the student opts dummy becasue he is either
1. afraid of failing the exams
2. lazy to attend work
3. fickle to handle pressure
4. enjoys leisure more than work
But all the above are not worthy reasons for a student skipping Internship. Infact it is the only route for him to learn work of any sort. Knowledge is useless if it is not shared. And you have a moral obligation to share it when you have acquired it.

Slumdog Millionaire - Movie Review

The review might be too late but better late than never. I had got the movie DVD longback but had no chance or time to spend watching it. Finally I did. Was quite amazed with the style of the movie. It revolves around optimism and destiny to a little extent. The questions in the quiz go with the incidents of his life. That is a good co incidence but not all can take it for granted. It is all about a hope that gets stirred into a person of any caste, creed. Danny Boyle has made a good seep into the realities of Mumbai. A lot a research has to be done to capture the minute ones. Kids have done a great job as Jamal, Saleem, Lathika. Anil Kapoor's acting is very simple but superb. And not to forget music meastro AR Rahman has done a great score. It is very inspiring. The movie is down to earth and has grabbed 8 Oscars including the Best Film category.

The Princess Diaries - Movie Review

Recently got the chance to see this movie. Worth a watch. Less than 2 hours the movie has got a great flair. It is about a teen who has the birth power to become the Princess of Genovia. It has got lots of scenes that one has to take for life. How a girl who is being unnoticed undergoes a sudden transformation to the aptitudes of a Princess. There are two favorite scenes of mine- one being the letter that the Princess gets from her neighbour in place of her father; Two is the final acceptance speech by Anne Hathway. The Queen does a magnificent job and potrays majesty of the role. Joe the driver does a good cameo. On the whole the movie is quite interesting and quick from the rest of the lot and based on a novel by Meg Cabot.

Well, India has been knocked out of T20 World Cup by England in the second super 8's match. India did everything well except to adjust themselves to the pressures that was unpardonable as they had enough experience in IPL. Team selection was not wrong as this team had done remarkably well as far as cricket is concerned. Ravindra Jadeja was good but nervous to bat the English. Yuvi is always bold enough to face any team. The sad part is that Dhoni is not in a position to stabilise the team's momentum as he used to before this world cup. That's not the end of the road. Still lots more to see, lots more to rejoice, plenty to learn. In cricket the result is not easy and pre-determined. This was evident when the Irish knocked the Bangla Tigers before to enter the Super 8's. To me the excessive hype on the team and plenty of options led to the massacre. I know it is sad for each Indian fan, but gear up for cheering mother India for the battle against the Windies. Good luck Team India, You are always the favourites of any game of cricket.

What if in a relationship there is always the differences and other subtilities? Is it better to break apart or to strive restoring the then rapport. According to physcology trainers, around 83% of the people in the world are mentally sick meaning they upset themslves as well as others. In the minnows the majority are professors and priests.
To me, 100% of the people are mentally as well as physically toiled. They outburst moments that are not the ideal way. Suppose a small difference of opinion crops up into a relationship the way the other person handles to fact decides the fate of the relationship. Almost always we never want to lose in a conversation. So we rule the latter whomsoever regardless to how close they were. But the ideal way is to better part from further disruptions and move the way the feel would suit them. This almost is very common in any type of relationship whether business or personal. It is called a bubble bug. The bubble never knows that it is going to burst until the last stage of expansion reaches.
Follow ABC : Avoid Bad Company regardless to committement.

The LS Election results are out in favour of the Congress Party.
This time it was something near to a 100 constituency margin still the figure waving in the channels. Dr. Manmohan Singh gets chance to prove himself a dynamic leader making the stable government move a step higher on the ladder to a stable-dynamic govt. Indian Janatha would be awaiting for Singh to look upon issues like 26/11 Kasab and the LTTE war in SL. There is a chance for India to experience the change like what happenned in US this year Jan 20. Coming down south the Congress Ally DMK has won the majority. I dont know much about poilitcs and sense who really deserves place, but the party handling power must bring about the change. BJP must have lost favour when Varun Gandhi opened his speech and still I stick to the point that I have a very little knowledge to comment. Though I am 19, I had no vote this time. But smiled when Kamal too dint. Still my vote would have raised UPA's victory.

May 4, the Board of Selectors came out with the 15 member squad for India in this T20 Workd cup in England coming this June. I was disappointed with the choice of players. For me 13 was ok! But I felt that Sudeep Tyagi and Shadab Jakati(Chennai Super Kings) deserved a place in the T20 World cup just for the reason that they played exceedingly well and came with results. Tyagi took AB De Villiers for a duck in a crucial match against Delhi and Gibbs for a duck against Deccan. Jakati the spinner took 4 significant wickets against Delhi and Deccan each. On the other hand Ishant Sharma is struggling to prove himself on the line and length though a good pacemen. And Ohja ofcourse has not been that impressive in line with Jakati. I dont know on what basis the selection goes, but as a layman I could spot the two as important for India esp T20.

Chennai Super Kings- Back to business

Ho! After a series of defeats at the start, Chennai Super Kings(CSK) now witness their third consequetive win against the then flawless Deccan Chargers. A magnificent comprehensive win over the Deccan pushes up the Chennai to the top of the rally. Job for the team has now become little easy to place themselves to the semis. The biggest advantage of the CSK is that they have a strong batting backed by tactful bowling. Some fun happenned out there on field during the Deccan match. First was that the ball fell narrow among the Vijay, Badri, and Raina. All the three felt that they could celebrate after someone taking the catch. Same place next ball dropped by Tyagi. The worst part of it is a simple runout miss by Jakati. It was no doubt a splendid action from the CSK. Looking forward to winning the coming matches I wish them a hearty congrats on this win.

Taare Zameen Par - Movie Review

Recently I watched a movie amidst other committments. Too screwed! It was Taare Zameen Par the Bollywood Masterpiece. Not the right time to make a review but better late than never. Truly amazing movie. It handles emotions and sentiments in a crafted way. The caption every child is special makes the whole theme of the film in a line. Aamir Khan and the child artist is a great combi. Even the hard hearted will tear out. I did. If you have missed out in the silver screens please get hold of a DVD and make it a go. It deals with perception in a positive way.
Hats off to the TZP crew.

Verdict: The star is really grounded.

Heh I dint mean a conductor or a referee. Whistle Blower is a person who blows to his boss any malpractice within the organisation for its betterment preventing the others from repeating the same. Recently I read a text on the concept whereby it explained that the organization must encourage such perosns from reporting the mal practices. The same day I received a call from my friend you is a CA student saying that his boss is conducting surveys on him for the mistakes of someone else. Quickly I was took Whistle Blowing. I asked him whether there was someone behind the screen for all this. He replied positively. If there is a reporting of malpratice in an organisation - He is a whistle Blower (positive). On the contrary as in the above case if there is a mal reporting of the practices - He is an aggravated trumpet.

So.........What say.........Increase the time in refining ourselves instead of abusing others.

Villu - Movie Review

It was Vijay's Villu that rocked the theatres this Pongal. After the lust of Azhagiya Thamizh Magan and Kuruvi Vijay's Villu created the needed ripples among his fans. But the movie sounds weak to entertain. It is the remake of the Hindi Movie Soldier. Pradu deva's creative touches seem to fade away in this movie. The camera is a blur tool on screen. Songs have creaked the ears throughout. Vijay seems to be stylish in some parts but that does not in anyway add glamour to the film. Story is old tea in new cup. Overall Vijay's Villu is a disappointment to his loyal fans.

This Sunday I went out to a movie. It was Varanam Ayiram - the most talked film in the recent past. Director Gautham known for his racy, classy movies has tried a new genre. Nevertheless a good attempt. This film is all about a dad - son relationship. How well it is churned out. How can a dad say no to proposing a girl in USA. Surya has outperformed everyone on screen. And not to forget the songs that blocked all the chartbusters to a grosser before the film could release. 6 Songs have a winsome effect. Sameera Reddy the Bombay heroine is pretty throughout. Some clear story track and relevant scenes could have added more to the picture

11. Zero coupon bonds: As the name hints; a bond that is sold at a deep discount as against its face value but matures at its face value, without inviting coupons are called as zero coupon bonds. Generally, the markets for the zero coupon bonds are relatively illiquid.

The discount rate denominator reduces the real value of the nominally fixed coupon amounts over time, eventually making this value equal zero. As such, perpetual bonds, even though they pay interest forever, can be assigned a finite value, which in turn represents their price.

14. Annuity bond: Annuities are equal amounts of receipts are payments made at the beginning or at the end of the year. It is a bond that pays the investor equal amount of cash every year over the life of the bond. Payments take the form of increasing principal and declining interest.

15. Redeemable bond: A bond which the issuer has the right to redeem prior to its maturity date, under certain conditions. Look out for the basics of bonds

1. Par value: It is the value on the face of the bond that signifies the amount to be returned to the investor when the bond elapses (meaning its maturity date). The term par means on being on the same plane being the same amount initially invested is returned back to the investor.

2. Yield to maturity (YTM): It is the defined as the rate of return expected on a bond if it is held till the maturity date. It is a mode of equaling cash flows of interest payments and principal payments with the price of the bond. The general assumption is that all the coupons are reinvested at the same rate. YTM is greater than the current yield if the bond is selling at a discount and is less than the current yield if the same is selling at a premium.

3. Current Yield: Current Yield is the coupon interest amount divided by the purchase price of the bond. For instance if the bond is purchased at Rs. 1000 and the interest rate is 5% (Rs. 50). Here the current yield is
Current Yield = Interest amount / Purchase price of the bond
= 50 / 1000
= 0.50 (usually expressed in percentage)

4. Bond Yield: It is the rate of return on the bond that considers the sum of interest payment, redemption value at the bond’s maturity and the initial purchase price of the bond.

5. Coupon rate: It is the interest rate that the issuer of the bond promises to pay the bondholder against the principal per annum. Say for instance if the value of the bond is Rs. 1000 and the interest amount for the year is Rs 50, we can entail from the above that the coupon rate is 5%. Many bonds pay interest semi annually.

6. Par Bond: A par bond is a bond that is selling at its face value. Par value means the value without considering discount or premium.

7. Premium Bond: If a bond's price is higher than its par value it is selling at a premium, therefore the bond is called as a premium bond. This occurs because the interest rate on the bond is higher than the prevailing rates in the market, making the bond worth more than a lower interest paying bond. For instance, if a bond with a 5% coupon were selling at par (Rs. 1000), it would be worth less than the bond paying 7%. Therefore the bond paying 7% would have to be priced higher than par, thus equalizing the attractiveness of the two bonds.

8. Discount Bond: A bond that is issued less than its face value is termed as the discount bond. It does not necessarily signify that the investors get a better yield than the normal market.

If a cost-of living index begins the year at 100 and ends at 103, we say that
The Inflation rate is 3 percent [(103*100)/100]. If from the second to the third year, the index changes from 103 to 109, the rate is about 5.8 percent [109-103/103]. If annual changes in the consumer price index of other measure of purchasing power have been averaging steadily around 3.5 percent and prices will apparently spurt ahead by 4.5 percent over the next year hence the required rates of return will adjust upward. This process will affect government and corporate bonds as well as common stocks. Market, purchasing-power and interest-rate risk are the principle sources of systematic risk in securities.

Interest Rate Risk: It refers to the effects of changes in the prevailing market rates of interest on the bond values. When the interest rates rise, the bond values fall. Hence there is inverse relationship between the interest rate and bond value.

Liquidity risk: Liquidity generally means the quantum of cash readily available. The risk associated with the sale of fixed income securities that must be made at a price lesser than the fair market value because of the lack of liquidity for a particular issue is called the liquidity risk. Treasury bonds are the perfect example of liquid securities that can be easily changed to cash. On the other hand of the liquidity gamut, a unique expensive home or an automobile may be quite intricate to process cash immediately. By and large the investors prefer higher liquidity to a lesser one. Decrease in security’s liquidity will decrease its price as the requisite yield will be higher.

Reinvestment Risk: The process of second investment for any sake is called the reinvestment. When the market rates fall there is a force to reinvest the cash flows at a lower rate thus reducing the returns of the investors.
Suppose say for example: The market rates falls by 10% and the cash flows received from the fixed income securities is Rs. X. Reinvesting the X amount of cash flow at a lower rate say (10-x) % is the process of reinvestment at a lower rate.

Credit risk: Credit period is generally defined as the time granted by the creditor for the repayment of the dues. The risk of credit worthiness is that the firm may lose its value of credit thus increasing the required return thereby decreasing the security value.

Exchange rate risk: Exchange rate is defined as the rate at which a country’s medium is swapped against the currency of the other country so involved. This risk arises from the uncertainty about the value of the exchange medium that flows to an investor in his home country. Thus a US treasury bill may be considered less risky to a US based investor, the same T-Bill to an Indian investor will be reduced by a depreciation of the US Dollar’s relative to Rupees (INR).
Example the value of an US dollar to an Indian rupee is Rs.40. Say the value of the T-bill amounts to Rs.2500. The risk associated with the exchange rate is the depreciation in the value of the US dollar to its initial market value of the bill.

Financial Risk: Financial risk is associated with the way in which a company finances its activities. We usually gauge financial risk by looking at the capital structure of a firm. The presence of borrowed money of debt in the capital structure creates fixed payment in the form of interest that must be sustained by the firm. Financial risk is avoidable risk to the extent that managements have the freedom to decide to borrow or not to borrow funds. A firm with no debt financing has no financial risk. By engaging in debt financing, the firm changes the characteristic of the earnings stream available to the common-stock holders. Specifically, the reliance on debt financing, called financial leverage, has at three important effects on common-stock holders. Debt financing (1) increases the variability of their returns, (2) affects their expectations concerning their returns, and (3) increases their risk of being ruined.

The Ultimate Star Ajit is back after his style play in Billa. Clubbing hands with the Director Raju Sundaram a master choreographer he has tried his hands at humor mixed with required action to suit his image. Raju Sundaram clearly stands to a beginner film maker. This film has few inspirations from the Hindi shadow Main Hoon Na. Actor Jayaram the Mallu has tried to fill the comedy space. Nayanthara plays the glam girl makes less importance to the film at irrelevant scenes. Clips were Ajit behind the Chemistry Professor is a good humor attempt. Yuvan the music scorer has fine tuned a number Hey Baby that has few old tunes mixed. Not the villan is interesting. With no competitor out for this Diwali, Aegan has outperformed the other small films.

Verdict: Not a good comeback Mr. Ajith.

For the love of CA

I am into the course of Chartered Accountancy as a student and will soon be a professional manager. But this had a long school boy tale behind it.

My friend asked me a question that what would have been my role if I had not chose to do my CA. To start with I was greatly interested in cricket as a stereotype guy but I missed the chance. I excelled in badminton but I sacrificed. I did great work at football but sacrificed. Sacrificed few really good opportunities. Just for the love of CA. But I dint know what exactly CA was all about. One said you need to be good at numbers. The other said you need to brilliant in accounts. One said you need to be analytical.

Cricket

This brought me the chance of playing cricket that could perhaps would have turned my life. Perhaps! I did good at bowling as a spin bowler as my flight of the ball left few great batsman comment. I did good as a fieldsman. The urge for a spin bowler in a team of 12 worked my way. I saw the green tick on the selectors list as I bowled out the prominent player for a duck. The selector asked me to assemble the next day around 4 that was after my regular classes. We had one full week to send the team list to the organizers. I did assemble the next day. He wished my presence in the team forgetting all the age difference. I was very happy. That day I thought I could disclose it to my parents officially as all the rituals were on the way. I first told my mom. She inmmediately went wild and said this was not the right choice for my career. She said I could get hurt by a cricket ball. I took to plead her. She was totally against and not happy atleat that I was selected. I asked my dad. He said adhere to what your mom says for she knows what I right or wrong for you. Absolutely a sentimental product but a nice human. I went to my selector the next day morining. I said that I was not interested to participate. The selector immediately took to nerves and started abusing me for my cowardice. I couldnt help it. My place was replaced by a new guy who took good batting discipline. Boost cup got few good opportunities to excel talents Madurai and Coimbatore matches. But everything was over my head. My first, for the love of CA but no regrets.

Badminton

My school was lucky all the time as it had atleast one setback in any of its initiative. I was lucky all the time as I had the stuff to fill it. Yes exactly the game of badminton alias shuttle. My school lacked a good combo for a badminton match. There was a great guy who just needed a complimenting player to fill the gap. Few of them felt I had good reflexes like Ali the one in Chetan Bhagat's story. Even they felt I could get close to the great player. That evening the PT coach of my school wanted to meet me. I did acknowledge. He said we love the way you complement as a combo. We feel we can take our school to great heights with that great player. I was happy the same way. I took it to my mom. This time she said my career as a White collared person is more important than all this. As ususal the game ended sucessful to my mom. This time I dint take it to my dad as I knew what would happen. I was put to thorns. The next day I went to my PT coach and withdrew my name. I was labelled a cowardice. The match did seem to go well for our school as there was no good complemeting player as a combo. The second one, for the love of CA but no regrets.

Football

For this game I had good welcomes from both school and outside meaning a different resource to expose my talents. Task was easy for football because there was lot of opportunities to bring in young interested products to football. I had a good resource person my dad's friend who said that he would take me to camp where there can be a immediate selection to my name. I did really excellent job as a football player in the area of defence, as well as a goal keeper. I was good at passes and dribblles. I was outstanding at goal keeping. Chances were bright this time. I thought I should make it this time. The first chance came unexpectedly from my school in the inter school football competition. It flew off my way because I said I need to focus on studies. I was this time termed a nerd. But the team also din't progress. But w.r.t the football camp, my lovely mom this time had a different reason stating the reasons for my health conditions. Everything jammed before I could enforce. Oohps! I was tired. My third one for the love of CA but absolutely no regrets I said.

Now I am doing a very prestigiuos course with good interest. From where I was in my school to where I am now is all what god has blessed me.

‘The 3 mistakes of my life’ – Chetan Bhagat

This book is a plot on religion, business coupled with cricket. Govind the businessman nearly the Prince of the tale gets ready to annihilate himself after erring to 3 nos in his life that he considers the mistakes donned. Ishaan and Omi close friends to Govind take few predominant seats in the play. This tale starts with the suicidal attempt redirected through a mail. Govind portrayed as the business man is good at numbers. He aspires to start his own establishment. He groups his friends for their assistance. They start their way to set up a business of cricket shop. They move on different poles to expand their business. One can teach or play cricket the other can teach Maths and one can handle business. On the lines of expansion Govind finds him helpless when the quake knocks down his new shop before it could open to public. This is was the kick start mistake. The play also finds its soil in Australia when Ishaan tries to perk up Ali his disciple into a different league. Life twists when Govind the Math genius meets Vidya Ishaan’s sister. He lands up betraying his friend Ishaan by romancing Vidya wrecking the limits that spot the second mistake of his. With Govind’s intrigue romance with Vidya and Ishaan’s passion on cricket the story twists with some religion brawls between the Hindus and the Muslims. The third mistake peeps in at the end of the religious battle where Ali’s wrist gets a bang when Govind comes to rescue trailing by few seconds. What continues from there till the end forms the cliff of the narration. The author by his pale conversational dialogues keeps the pace of the story racy. An unpredictable scene from a real drama and rib tickling narration makes one say cheese. After the triumph of Five Point Someone, Chetan is back with 3 mistakes - the best one.

At CAFI Conference

I am honored to share a few thoughts, on the destruction that war and weapons can cause to our civilized society, and liberty that is the birthright of all living on this earth.
A comic book on gun violence written by victim of gun violence – young children was released. I felt comics were part of our young life to make us laugh. But this comic book was pulling our heart strings to say the least.
Weapons are meant only for destruction of life and properly. It was stunning to vote that guns were offered for sale – with a free offer that is a land mine was offered as an add on to the sale of gun.
A knife is a knife – different uses for peaceful as well as for killing but a gun is only for destruction and killing.
We have attained freedom from the British rule but yet to achieve freedom from want and fear.
An official on the border was stopped for checking and from allowed to proceed, but after he moved ahead he was fired upon. The official stopped and questioned the living to which the authorities casually said it was a mistake and that he should pay for the bullet fired. It means they would prefer to recover the price of bullet before the victim dies.
The impact of gun violence is an irony of fate that would make the great Mahatma resting in Raj Ghat in New Delhi turn in his grave. And talking of the Mahatma it is a matter of pride for us Indians to know that the United Nations has declared the year 2008 as the year of Non violence and further the birth date of the Mahatma October 2 as a day of Non Violence.
As Indians born in the land of the Mahatma, it is only right and logical, that we set an example to the world, on how to spread peace in the world, through Ahimsa, Non Violence.
It is indeed sad that we need to have a conference for this reason but that is the bitter truth, the tragic reality. I for one believe that Non Violence ended with violence, on the day the Mahatma was assassinated here in New Delhi on January 30, 1948 and ever since we have witnessed more such cruel and heartless killings, making this conference very relevant and a dire necessity.
A few years ago we read reports that in the US, some kids carried guns to school and we were more shocked to read about kids using guns to kill their mates, emphasizing that gun killing in schools had come to stay in the US. We perhaps never imagined this would come soon to India. My dear friends let’s wake up to this gory fact that this is now happening in our own country as well and it is not something we can feel proud of.
Some weeks back there was a documentary on the BBC channel on gun culture. We got to understand how children were easily able to get guns from the market through contacts and used these guns as a tool of power and a means of threatening others. By wielding the gun, they were able to get things done their way. How easily and casually these children were able to access these guns is a shuddering thought. This is the real scene in our own country today. We can’t afford to close our eyes. It is time we understand the seriousness of the predicament we are in and try to find ways to tackle it head on and nip it in the bud.
Our Govts are too busy with many issues. Maybe they tackle the gun violence issue from their own perspective and it is obvious we are not getting the desired results. Why should we, who love our country, depend only on the Govt’s efforts to find a solution? As countrymen and women we can help the govt by supplementing their efforts in our own small way.
Wars are fought by nations and each country has their own agenda. It needs a Mahatma in every country to understand and make others understand that wars only destroy and bring no peace at all. Where is peace? How can a mother who loses her son, live in peace, even if her country eventually won the war? Where can one find peace for little children who have lost their father? The impact is shattering to say the least, or a wife who loses her husband and has to singly face life with children to be looked after – where is the peace? Wars and Weapons mean only destruction and if this goes on unabated, humanity will soon degenerate into a beastly and chaotic race.
Trust me and the movement that organizations like CAFI and others are leading, ONLY a civil society can handle this. Civil liberties are everyone’s right and no one can infringe on this liberty. Your liberty to swing your arms ends where my nose begins. We all have limits to our liberty meaning we cannot infringe on other’s liberty
For generations India has taught the world the lesson of non-violence and how powerful it is, that it can even win a war. Let us relive those days, take valuable lessons from history on non-violence and put it to good use in the present day context to tackle the growing menace of gun violence.
Let’s mobilize ourselves and teach our children to get into the habit of peace, love and friendliness, so that we make the world a better place to live, for the incoming generations. Good character, behavior and manners begin at home and as adults we should cultivate these good traits at home, so that our children easily pick them up. Don’t we all know that children in their formative years only imitate adults and learn from them?
Remember the three R’s. (1) Respect for self, (2) Respect for others and (3) Responsibilities for all our actions – we all do err but once we realize it, it is up to us to gracefully accept it. That would cool things immediately. Today a lot of us have forgotten to smile and to be friendly. Right from junior school, children are taught that they must be aggressive to succeed. We need to turn this around – we need love in our life in a world that is influenced by hatred.
When blood is required to save a life, it is not measured in terms of caste, colour, creed or nationalities rich or poor. The colour of blood is the same in all of us - blood is the unifying factor amongst us. Peace comes through the act of blood donation.
This indeed would be the most wonderful change – a change of heart that can happen in this strife- ridden society, ravaged by wars and destruction. Blood is meant for circulation and let us helps by donating blood to those who need it. Let us not shed it in warfare and killing.
A report of the UN says gun violence kills more than 3,50,000 people a year and injures more than a million. Paradoxically, yet the global trade that fuels the epidemic of armed violence is not subject to international regulations. The arms industry operates without regulation. If the tally of death, injured and disability resulting from small arms were categorized as a disease, it would be classified as an epidemic.
To address this issue, global initiatives have been started and since October 2003, Control Arms has gathered the support of over one million people worldwide. In December 2006, over 150 governments voted at the United Nations to start work on developing an international Arms Trade Treaty. The UN Secretary-General has called for governments to submit their views on the feasibility, scope and parameters of an Arms Trade Treaty (ATT) to ensure that recommendations from governments incorporate the views of millions of people around the world who are affected by armed violence every day. To ensure that the millions of people who support a strong treaty based on international humanitarian and human rights law are taken into account during the government consultation process, People’s Consultations were organized in over 40 countries around the world to give people and communities a forum to demand that their governments take action for tough international arms controls. In Chennai we held a very impactful People’s Consultation meeting where we had representation from the Police, judiciary and the policy makers of the country and presented a set of pointers for the ATT.
Poverty prevails in many regions of the world, and there are whole nations struggling in abject poverty. And it is believed that this leads to a lot of gun killing and violence. This may be true but to a very miniscule extent. If the civilized world can rise above nationalities and other dividing factors these can be easily taken care of. Today an Arms Trade Treaty and efforts of organizations like the Control Arms Foundation, is a necessity and perhaps the only remedy to save society from disintegration.
Being in India, let us give some thoughts to the teachings of Mahatma and our very renowned Bhagavat Gita. The Mahatma gave us a valuable and strong teaching of Ahimsa or non violence and he proved its strength by fighting many a battle to secure India’s freedom.
The Bhagavat Gita teaches us thus:
What have you lost for which you cry?
What did you bring with you, which you have lost?
What did you produce which has been destroyed?
You did not bring anything when you were born
Whatever you have, you have received from Him
Whatever you will give, you will give it to Him
You came empty handed and you will go the same way
Whatever is yours today, was somebody else’s yesterday
And will be somebody else’s tomorrow. So, why worry unnecessarily?
I am sure the violent groups in our society can be transformed by the majority of the population in the world with love and care, for a life of peace and happiness. It is in our hands to make this happen and it can happen. Let’s strive to make Gun violence, war and destruction a thing of the past, recorded as a minor aberration in the history of human civilization. The money spent on arms and ammunition, the budgets for which is increasing in all nations can be put to much better use to make human life more happy, peaceful and meaningful.
I would like to conclude with the words of Mahatma Gandhi. He said “Peace will not come out of a clash of arms but out of justice lived and done by unarmed nations in the face of odds” Let’s strive to urge leaders of nations in the world to see the wisdom in Mahatma Gandhi’s words by setting an example ourselves.
Let us use our arms (God given) to do away with arms (man made) or else it would mean the end of society. Jai Hind

U Turn or Use-less turn

Save the drop of oil, it is not going to last forever, screamed the hoarding from above. This was the message of a responsible government exhorting the public to use the limited supply of oil, sparingly. Three cheers to the responsible government.
Back home to a break in front of the Television which has been delegated the task of entartainment. And what do you see there. You guessed a cheese. You are right. On the telly you see more of ads than the program itself. Nowadays ADS have taken the hot seat of relay. In fact it is more rightly said by one of the survey engineer that programs are advertised in between two ADS. Now let us gauge the ADS.
Taking a diversion to the chapter of ADS, we get to chat about the popular AD which has a famous Indian cricketer who these days is seen more on the small screen. They are giving the stars of the silver screen a run for money and have forgotten to work their way in the field. This cricketer with a sweet looking companion beside him the latest sports model in the petrol pump, and while his automoblie is getting the attention, he asks the attendant the way to the particular spot. The attendant with his sparking smile says, if you use a particular brand of fuel all you do is to go straight for some miles, turn right again and straight way down some more miles and again a right turn will take you to your spot. To that the cricketer popped up a quest a to " If I dont use that particular brand then how do I get there?" The attendant with a sheepish grin said that it was just opposite the road on the other side.
Now this is revealing the secret of the lengthy medians which is there on all roads. The medians are a stumbling block to the government's policy of saving oil for the future. We will have to travel extra mile to actually get to that place. The median has become a scene of curse for the road users for the money bank on petrol usage. It yields to the very fact of saving petrol for the years to come as it is on the phase of extinction. The medians ensure the correct usage of petrol at the incorrect time.
On one side of the coin the government is trying to amend changes on the impending oil crisis and on the other side it is not awakened by the mean things like the median. Might be mean but the mode of travel because of the median is a majoe setback.
We can instead use the effective manpower vis-a-vis the traffic officials who can regulate the vehicles with a small break in between the lengthy medians or a free diversion with the help of the planners. This might be a small issue to talk but a serious game to be played. Remember we are eating the money of the future generation.

Thanks boss! Generally I have seen people doing their way or carrying out things just for the sake of others. Rightly hypocrites. Most often truth is not welcomed. People prefer to accept deceptives rather than individuals who are true by self.

At my work, I had the luxury of coming to the office even at 10:30 without a claim for the same. That didn’t mean that I was arrogant. It made me travel at least 4 hours a day. But I mustn’t justify for I knew all the intricacies when I joined. All I did in my first few months were to engage the time from 9:30 to 5pm. But my office started taking turns. I began well on words with my co-staffs. But I chose to remain in my personal zone. On this journey I met a person whom I felt was true and realized his importance in the organization. I took back to him and started judging the avenues. In due course I understood his trueness and stood by him.

A famous story goes this way;

A clerical staff; merely by his hard and smart work rose to the position of the Managing Director. He had served people whom he studied with. But nothing stopped him from winning. At this juncture a small portion of the egg less cake steamed to its original attire popularly referred to as Greed. He (MD) wanted to make money effortlessly. All his wealth and assets were wiped out and was left to lanes patched with a black mark.

Moral: Desire what you think you deserve.

But I still can’t understand why GOD is good to the bad and a zombie to the genuine. Why can’t there be a bowl of poison to kill people who are blood thirst. Why must the Tsunami gobble away millions with it? Was God sleeping when the Twin Tower squashed? To all these my co staff answered in a soft voice

“Everything that happens happens because it was tuned to happen” Believe this was done by someone before you were born.

Say after my qualification I stay to a stature of a mediocre CA earning a salary of around 25K p.m. That doesn’t mean that I can sell heroine and drugs at a shop milking an amount around 3 lacs per visit. Even one in a month, a row in a billionaire. But will I add value to my name. A big NO.

I often hear people say that I want to add history to my name. Adding history to one’s name is a controversial topic. But on the face of subject it is adding value to one’s name in their life time. To this I always believe that treating everyone with equality will make a person more human than a person whose name is in the history. I hereby don’t rule out on individuals’ aim. This is often missed in each and everyone’s life.

Let me narrate you an incident where I wished a tea walah “Good Morning sir”. Immediately my friend commented me, "Why can't you wish him normally". I was thrown back when someone dictated me to behave that too in India!

When people respect and talk well across them, they don’t develop fruits of rivalry. When everything is solved by a smile, why do we need hands.

Whatever appears to be a mattering shifts to minucule after a while. In a way people fight only for their own materialistic pleasures.
When
I was traveling from Bangalore to Chennai, I found to my bombshell that two of my co passengers were skirmishing with each other for the place they sat. One of the passengers was a little well built that he needed place to accommodate his being, and the other wanted the luxury of possession as he paid for it. As I rightly traveled in the Indian Cosmic train, people were just tight lipped and nobody there opened their mouth to reserve the place in peace. I too wanted to remain alike, but my sarcastic smile on them gave them a signal to their intelligence to stop it anymore. The telepathy worked out visibly and they apprehended that they were into Kindergarten.

It takes just few seconds to open profound wounds in those whom we love but will take years to for them to heal with.

Whatever that happens in life, happens for good.....so stop worrying
about the future and forget the past.

After Sept. 11th, one company invited the remaining members of other Companies who had been decimated by the attack on the Twin Towers to share their available office space.

At a morning meeting, the head of security told stories of why these people were alive, and all the stories were just the 'L I T T L E' things.
As you might know, the head of the company survived that day because his son started kindergarten.
Another fellow was alive because it was his turn to bring donuts.
One woman was late because her alarm clock didn't go off in time.
One of them missed his bus.
One spilled food on her clothes and had to take time to change.
One's car wouldn't start.
One went back to answer the telephone.
One had a child that dawdled and didn't get ready as soon as he should have.
One couldn't get a taxi.

The one that struck everyone was the man who put on a new pair of shoes that morning, took the various means to get to work but before he got there, he developed a blister on his foot. He stopped at a drugstore to buy a Band-Aid. That is why he is alive today.

Now when I am stuck in traffic, miss an elevator, turn back to answer a ringing telephone......... all the little things that annoy me. I think to myself, this is exactly where God wants me to be at this very moment...
Next time your morning seems to be going wrong, the children are slow getting dressed, you can't seem to find the car keys, you hit every traffic light, don't get mad or frustrated.
God is at work watching over you.

Natural Diaster on my lap

It is bcoz of Lord Puri Jaganath on the coastal areas of Mahabalipuram that kept me alive to blog with you all.
A day to remember and a day to forget.

On 26th December 2004, coastal areas of Tamil Nadu were tremored by the furios waters. That was the first time I happen to experience a natural calamity. Deep on set the high road after the octroi check, we took off to a plane speed that ranged around 150. Hearing joyous comments from my family side about the long planned trip my uncle wanted to darshan the Puri Jaganath Temple. The only hesitant issue that peeped was our proposal to boat out that time. But we dint mind. We went on to darshan the lord. The beauty of the temple graced thru a lot time. We then took off to the high road for the resort.
My uncle a Chartered Accountant, a very outgoing person was having a good time on chat with the kids. He briefed us the laurels of the place as he had been there about 50 odd times. He then remarked that he has never seen the waters touching the palm trees alongside the shore and felt that it would be wonderful to boat that day. It was at that time we received a call from our grandma saying the shores of TN are shook by Tsunami a ginat wave killer. The proximity to the shore dint exactly transmit the correct signal as we had to call her again..

We were near the bridge when we the saw the waters literally attacking the height of the Bridge. That took us to heels. We had to invite our goose pimples for a visit. Within 10 minutes we have to vacate 10kms or vacate the world. Choice was ours. 10kms in 10 minutes would be a mad race "remarked the driver". Everyone grew pale. No chance of taking the pondy route too as it was still venemous. I was speechless and was thinking how to spend the last few minutes in the van. In addition to it we were frightened by the mad lorry driver who must have trained Narain Kathikeyan.

10th Minute we were outta the circle. We also voiced to reverse the cars and vans who were ignorant of the event. Merry thanks to our driver who packed us safe to Childrens Park. With lots of blessings of GOD I am here to blog you my life alive today. Right from my birth(1990) to 2004 I had never seen a calamity. Hoops! That was a great day to remember for I am alive today and to forget for the lives that are no more.
